When All has been said and done..

Overall Reflection

Since reflection is the key to extracting most out of any experience; it is extremely necessary to look back at the entire series of events this semester related to my experiential learning to determine how much I have taken from this experience and how much I have given back to the community. Linking academic knowledge to Placement Activities

Link between acedimic knowledge and Service Learning experience
"You don't learn to walk by following the rules. You learn by doing and falling over"  - Richard Branson

Throughout these ten weeks I have been living Richard Brenson's qoute and have created my recipie using ingredients from both, theory and my experience. Academic knowledge gained from the textbooks provides a framework which is modified and improved overtime by applying the theories and extracting the real bigger picture from active experimentation. This is what makes learning an active process. My fourth reflection journal entry also highlights the ways in which I have applied my academic knowledge into practice. Now I will present a more detailed picture of the two way street. I have practically used my pre-existing knowledge but I have also learnt skills from my experience which I can take back with me and apply in my classroom settings and other courses to enrich my overall learning process.
